Membership

You don't buy.
You belong.

Happiness Village isn't a real estate development. It's a housing cooperative — a community that owns and stewards its land together, where members hold use-rights, not deeds.

How membership works

When you join Happiness Village, you make a refundable upfront contribution and pay a monthly fee. In return, you receive a cesión de uso — a use-right to your dome and studio, established under Catalan cooperative law. You don't own the property. The cooperative does. You have the right to live there, for as long as you choose.

This model is already working in Catalunya — La Borda cooperative in Barcelona has operated this way since 2018, and Sostre Cívic coordinates over 400 units across the region.

The land itself is held by a Spanish Foundation, which cannot sell it, mortgage it, or develop it for profit. It is protected for the community — and for the generations who come after.

You don't own a piece of land. You belong to a community that stewards it together.

If you leave

Your upfront contribution is returned — adjusted for inflation. Your dome passes to the next person on the waitlist. No speculation. No flipping. No landlords profiting from your departure.

Every tier grants the same dome, the same studio, the same access to all community facilities, and the same governance vote. The difference between tiers is how you split your contribution between upfront and monthly — nothing else.

Commitment tiers

Choose your level of commitment.

Pay more upfront, pay less monthly. All tiers include the same dome, studio, community access, and one governance vote.

All figures in EUR. Monthly fees cover cooperative costs: infrastructure, maintenance, community programming, and shared services.

One member, one vote

Every cooperative member has exactly one vote — regardless of which tier they're in or how long they've been here. Unlike some community models that give more votes to larger contributors, every member here has exactly the same voice. Decisions are made through self-governing working groups for day-to-day matters, and community-wide votes for major decisions.

The land is protected

A Spanish Foundation holds the village land in perpetuity. It cannot sell it, mortgage it, or develop it for profit. The Foundation grants a 99-year surface right to the cooperative — meaning the community can build and live on the land for generations, regardless of what any individual member decides to do.
